Vehicle Description 1949 Buick Roadmaster Fastback First hitting the streets in 1931, the Series 80 from Buick was the introduction of a luxury sedan with an eight cylinder engine.
1936 saw the Roadmaster name added to the model lineup of cars.
1949 saw the first major post-war re-styling and the introduction of the VentiPorts, of which four adorned the top of the line Roadmaster.
The 1949 Buick Roadmaster Fastback presented at auction is custom built and features:
500 ci Cadillac engine built by Diablo Machine Hayward CA.
Turbo 400 trans 9 ford rear end w/triangulated 4 bar suspension Fatman drop spindles Painless wiring harness New upholstery and headliner PPG Metallic purple paint All chrome has been redone or polished Flowmaster 3 chamber exhaust New gas tank Cooling Components electric fan and shroud New Radiator Pioneer sound system This car has been consigned to the 7th Annual Salt Lake City Classic Car Auction hosted by the Classic Car Auction Group.
