General Purpose

The sr revenue requirement analyst conducts analyses of accounting and financial information through research, gathering, and interpretation of data. Presents analysis and recommendations to management and may implement selected alternatives. Specifically, this position prepares revenue requirement exhibits and other financial reports in support of PacifiCorp s regulatory filings. Analyses include, but are not limited to trending, forecasting, modeling, and reviewing financial data.

The revenue requirement specialist, oversees and conducts analyses of accounting and financial information through research, gathering, and interpretation of data. Presents analysis and recommendations to management and may implement selected alternatives. Specifically, this position prepares revenue requirement exhibits and other financial reports in support of PacifiCorp s regulatory filings. Analyses include, but are not limited to trending, forecasting, modeling, and reviewing financial data.

Responsibilities

  • Independently conduct financial analyses, accounting data research and review, forecasting, and regulatory reporting.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret financial data for trends, forecasts, and modeling.
  • Prepare and respond to requests for financial analysis and accounting information, and discovery in regulatory proceedings.
  • Prepare written testimony exhibits and other financial earnings reports filed with state regulatory commissions and other external organizations, and present expert testimony as assigned.
  • Assist in representing the company in supporting regulatory initiatives and filings with regulators, key community and customer groups and other company departments.
  • Present analysis and recommendations to department management that impact decisions regarding regulatory policies and strategies.
  • Interpret rules and regulatory orders to internal parties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of regulatory, accounting, or financial analysis experience.
  • Solid understanding of utility rate making principles, utility economics, financial reporting standards, and utility commission rules and regulations.
  • Data gathering, analysis, interpretation, trending, forecasting, and modeling skills.
  • Knowledge of applicable company policies and procedures; applicable federal, state, and local governmental laws and regulations.
  • Advanced experience with the use of personal computers including spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation applications to gather, analyze, and model information.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult with internal and external customers regarding matters/issues which may be sensitive in nature.
  • Ability to work with all levels of an organization including people with different styles and backgrounds and ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Ability to present alternatives and recommendations.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate projects and be accountable for project outcomes.
  • Ability to independently perform analysis and prepare regulatory filings.
  • Ability to lead projects and oversee work of less experienced analysts.
  • Travel may be required.

In addition to the above, the specialist-Level position include the following requirements:

  • A minimum of seven years of regulatory, accounting, or financial analysis experience.
  • Thorough understanding of utility rate making principles, utility economics, financial reporting standards, and utility commission rules and regulations.
  • Research, analysis, interpretation, trending, forecasting, and modeling skills.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to lead projects and oversee work of less experienced analysts.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively argue and defend facts and positions taken by the company.

Preferences

  • Experience with SAP accounting software preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
