This Physician position is located at VA Salt Lake City and is part of the Otorhinolaryngology section reporting to the Section Chief for Otorhinolaryngology. The incumbent will provide direct supervision to the residents and PA within the section, providing advice, and guidance regarding patient care. The Physician will be responsible for patient care at VA Salt Lake City, and will have occasional call coverage responsibilities, as well as ad hoc clinic and OR coverage, particularly for Head and Neck Cancer patients in the section. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that VA policies and practices are followed, as well as all safety precautions are taken to ensure the safety of patients and employees alike. The incumbent will ensure that credentials are kept up to date and that any delays will be communicated to administrative staff within the Surgery Service office. Work Schedule:

United States Citizenship:
Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. Experience:
Experience with Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery and be specialized as a Head and Neck Oncology Otolaryngologist Reference:
VA Regulations, specifically VA Handbook 5005, Part II, Appendix G-2 Physician Qualification Standard. This can be found in the local Human Resources Office. Physical Requirements:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
