Incumbent must possess and maintain a valid State driver's license. In addition to meeting the education requirement, you must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 level that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of a Monitoring Coordinator/Ecologist. Specialized experience includes researching, interpreting, and applying ecological public land laws and federal regulations; managing, supervising, leading, or performing professional research or scientific work involving the study of the relationships of organisms with each other, with their physical and chemical environments and with society. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade requirement in accordance with 5 CFR 300.604. If you are a current Federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks at the next lower grade level. Physical Demands:
The incumbent will typically work in an office setting where some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of light items is required. Work may also require travel to the field where physical activity involves walking long distances, bending, or climbing over rough, steep, and/or rocky terrain. Work Environment:
The work is performed in an office setting, but there will be occasional trips to the field. Field work may involve exposure to moderate risks and discomforts such as adverse weather conditions.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
