You must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the following examples:
assisting in the development, design, editing, and/or maintenance a website for an organization; experience using web development software, HTML, and security and scripting languages (ex:
JavaScript); gathering and verifying facts to write or edit materials, such as reports, articles, pamphlets, or speeches; and presenting factual information that is clear and meaningful to the intended audience. -OR- Education:
To qualify based on education you must have 36 semester hours of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree in a directly related field of study. - OR- Combination of Education and
Experience:
You may meet qualifications requirement for this position with an equivalent combination of specialized experience and appropriate graduate education. Graduate level education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. You must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the following examples:
developing, designing, maintaining and all other aspects of managing a website for an organization; experience with using web development software, HTML, and security and scripting languages (ex:
JavaScript); developing written products that articulate, interpret, and explain highly complex, potentially controversial, and important agency policies, programs, and research findings; analyzing and evaluating material collected from sources to determine appropriateness for inclusion in new and traditional media; and presenting factual information that is clear and meaningful to the intended audience. -OR- Education:
To qualify based on education you must have 54 semester hours of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a directly related fields of study. - OR- Combination of Education and
Experience:
You may meet qualifications requirement for this position with an equivalent combination of specialized experience and appropriate graduate education. Graduate level education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of the announcement. Physical Demands:
The work is primarily sedentary, requiring long periods of sitting on position. Standing for a prolonged period may be necessary when training or facilitating. Work Environment:
The work is primarily in an office/computer room environment. Overnight and multiple-day travel to other national and state offices and to Utah BLM field office may be required for the purposes of attending coordination meetings, project support meetings, and to provide onsite user support and training sessions.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
