Configuration Specialist

Under the direction of the MBS Assistant VP, the Configuration Specialist is responsible for the configuration of EMI s claim payment system to insure the correct payment of claims.
This is a full-time non-exempt position. Hours are generally 8:
00 a.m. to 5:
00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities
-Configures EMI s claim payment system by creating or updating system logic.
-Creates or updates group plans designs including, but not limited to, deductibles, copays, out-of-pocket maximums, COB information, covered providers, covered services, and plan exclusions.
-Sets up contracts for accurate pricing of claims.
-Maintains or assists in maintaining all of the following in the claims payment system:
claim payment message codes, CPT, ICD-10, HCPC, CDT and revenue codes.
-Acts as a trouble- shooter between the IT staff and users.
-Defines and resolve system problems.
-Diagnoses problems relating to software interface.
-Makes recommendations to management for resolving problems.
Qualifications
-High school diploma.
-Two or more years of experience working with medical and/or dental claims required.
-Intermediate skills with Excel spreadsheets required.
-Must have a strong understanding of benefit plans, procedure codes, and diagnosis codes.
-Must have the ability to investigate, analyze, and resolve claim system issues.
-Must have the ability to work in a team environment.
-Must have the ability to prioritize and organize workload in order to meet configuration deadlines.
-Must have the ability to communicate effectively, and maintain effective working relationships with management and coworkers.
-Must have the ability to maintain attendance to support required quality and quantity of work.
