Story Lab Manager
Job Description
The DDM Story Lab Manager balances time between a few different, yet related worlds: Not only does he or she manage the Deseret Connect contributor network, but the Story Lab Manager also works closely with video, graphics & native advertising teams to help fulfill campaigns.
Deseret Connect is fueled by a global network of writers who love to write and tend to have expertise on certain topics. The Story Lab Manager is responsible for overseeing that network of writers. The Manager will be a key resource for DDM publishing editors as well as our growing global network of media partners.
We're looking for a passionate, talented manager who brings out the best in others.
He or she believes the world needs awesome content to stand out from the mix of depressing or mindless content that often fills news sites and Facebook feeds. He or she uses media to help improve lives.
He or she will be an avid content consumer who's interested in understanding what makes great content great and will then guide others in the creation of that great content.
Our manager will be a champion of his or her writers.
He or she will be versatile enough to focus on many different writers, strategists, content types and publishers both internal and external.
Responsibilities
As Story Lab Manager, you will:
Create and help coordinate multimedia projects with video, graphic & text components
Cultivate a growing network of remote contributing writers
Develop new ways to engage and advocate for contributors
Help brainstorm and execute sponsored campaigns
Manage a team of remote editing coaches
Qualifications
