Warehouse Manager

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the shipping and receiving processes in accordance with regulations and internal standard operating procedures.
This person oversees all warehouse activities:
inventory control, quarantine, receiving, shipping, internal distribution, and hazardous material handling.
The Warehouse Manager will also develop and manage teams, and conduct training.
Education and experience requirements:
Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent 3-5 years experience as a Warehouse Manager Preferred (not required):
Bachelor Degree Training in lean techniques and/or supply chain management Experience Managing inventories in a highly regulated environment Essential job functions:
Manage all warehouse receiving, shipping, quarantine, company store, and distribution functions.
Inventory Management Manage order processes using internal systems, including coordination with multiple groups; Lab Operations, Purchasing, QA/QC, Maintenance, and Operations Maintain quality inventory management controls of on-site and off-site facilities; ensure that sufficient inventories are maintained Shipping Know the proper procedures and certifications for packing and shipping hazardous materials, infectious diseases, and controlled substances Coordinate with lab personnel on shipping requests; work within the FedEx and UPS systems to print shipping labels Investigate shipping issues with labs and couriers Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment through external vendor support Talent Management Acquire, train, develop, and retain employees Regularly meet one on one with direct reports Support the Senior Manager as they work to improve and maintain the quality of services by trending quality issues and developing and implementing action plans with the Quality Assurance Department and employees Operational Excellence:
Plan for business resources, personnel, and CapEx using financial models, ROI, Forecasting, Supply Chain and Continuous Improvement Scheduling - optimize production workflow across departments and ensure resources and personnel are adequate to accomplish the work in process and to meet business needs with client expectations for delivery and service Operating a forklift Train employees on proper forklift usage and safety protocols Operate a forklift with precision, ensuring efficiency and safety Physical requirements:
Must be able to move/traverse 50% of the day and remain in a stationary sitting/standing position at a desk while using a computer, keyboard, computer mouse, and phone 50% of the day.
This position occasionally moves or lifts items greater than 50lbs.
Wear personal protective equipment such as lab coats, safety glasses, goggles, gloves, face masks, shoe coverings, and respiratory equipment as applicable.
