Associate Tax Attorney

A large Salt Lake City law firm, seeks a tax associate with 3-5 years of law firm experience to join its Tax and Estate Planning practice group.

The ideal candidate will have general tax experience with corporations, partnerships, and a variety of business tax issues; some experience with tax-exempt organizations, real estate transactions, state and local taxation, or employee benefits is a plus. An LL.M. in tax or accounting background would be helpful but is not required. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials, demonstrate a commitment to ethics, be highly motivated and hard-working, and be able to work with minimal supervision. Excellent research and writing skills are critical. Candidates must be a member of the Utah Bar.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
