Work with senior credit professionals and banking partners to approve transactions and assign credit limits within the risk appetite of WM USA Conduct in depth analysis on borrowers and the collateral supporting transactions.
This position will cover private equity financing, private equity subscription financing, hedge fund financing, securities financing (large limit and/or less liquid securities), and unsecured financing Approve and write detailed credit assessments in addition to providing recommendations to senior credit officers Monitor the performance of risk exposures in the portfolio and helping formulate risk-mitigating strategies as necessary Develop and manage relationships with other areas of the firm, including WM USA Banking, Investment Banking, Operations, Collateral Management, Legal, Compliance, IT Participate in ad-hoc credit risk control projectsYour Career ComebackWe are open to applications from career returners.

Your teamYou ll be working in the Credit Risk Control team where transactions will be reviewed for Wealth Management clients, including working with the Investment Bank, where applicable by product.
This role is responsible for the credit assessment, transaction decisioning, and monitoring and controls of approved facilities within the portfolio.
As a credit officer, you will act as second line of defense, reviewing and challenging all credit risks associated with the portfolios you cover.
Your expertise Bachelor s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related areas 7-10 years of experience in a similar or related field Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to identify key risk issues in complex situations and to formulate precise credit assessments and credit recommendations, both in writing and verbally Established quantitative risk analysis skills employed in a credit risk, market risk or trading environment Prior experience with due diligence and analysis of the financial condition of private equity and hedge fund counterparties A strong knowledge and understanding of financial markets and trading and lending products Ability to focus, prioritize and perform effectively in a fast-paced environmentAbout usUBS is the world s largest and the only truly global wealth manager.

Salary informationCA, CO, WA and NY based roles:
The salary range for this role is $160,000 to $210,000 based on experience, education, and skill level.
This role may be eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
