Do Work that Matters! MobilizeGreen seeks conservation-minded Climate Adaptation Fellows to help support the federal government's Roadmap for Nature-based Solutions to fight climate change, strengthen nature and communities, and support local economies.
Through its partnership with the US Fish & Wildlife Service (FWS), MobilizeGreen is implementing the FWS' Maintenance and Infrastructure Fellowship program for diverse participants.
The Climate Adaptation Fellowships typically are for 26 or 52 weeks.
As a Fellow, you will gain hands-on experience in understanding nature's processes and functions to tackle societal challenges like climate change, biodiversity declines, disasters, and water security by building resiliency for ecological and human communities.
Through mentorship and training, Fellows will gain the opportunity to launch their career with a non-competitive or through other hiring authorities once they successfully complete their fellowship.

Location:
Mountain-Prairie Regional Office (R6) (Migratory Birds) - Lakewood, CO, OR Utah Ecological Services Field Office - Salt Lake City, UT Term:
26 or 52 weeks, starting on or about June 17, 2024; Full Time/40 hours per week

Other authorities may apply Project Types Coordinate with regional leadership to prioritize climate actions included in the Mountain-Prairie Region Climate Action Plan for FY 24/25 implementation.
Host workshops and other prioritization activities.
Estimate the carbon footprint of the Service across the region, including carbon emissions from Service lands and facilities and carbon sequestration from restoration efforts.
Help integrate nature-based solutions and the Resist-Accept-Direct framework into FWS planning processes.
Identify energy-efficiency upgrades that could be made on Refugees and draft grant proposals to implement projects.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in environmental science/studies with an emphasis on climate work, sustainability, environmental protection, or other related disciplines You are at least 17 years old and not older than 30 years old (veterans may apply up to age 35).
You must be an early-career professional with a strong interest in the FWS fellowship program.
You must be available to serve for 6 or 12 months in a selected location.
Ability to interpret oral and occasionally written instructions and specifications and follow safety practices.
You are a citizen or lawful permanent resident.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
