Don't miss this opportunity!SUMMARYThe focus of this position is to manage all aspects of event operations.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing banquets and food & beverage-centered events.
The candidate should have a hands-on management style, constantly improve on operational procedures, and enjoy developing the full potential of staff.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO Conducts weekly BEO and Operations meetings.
Reviews staffing levels to ensure event runs smoothly.
Inspects venues to ensure Event Managers are performing their closing checklists.
Approves all vendor invoices.
Reconciles event final bills Works closely with Snr Event Producer to ensure prompt resolution to client complaints and/or queries.
Monitors surveys to ensure client satisfaction.
Monitors inventory and breakage through monthly inventory checklists.
Activity overseeing events and provide real-time solutions when necessary Works with Executive Chef on proper staffing of culinary department.
Manage vendor relations.
Works with Executive Chef to establish controls Creates yearly operational budget.
Evaluates monthly P&L statement and provide analysis of performance.
Identifies areas for advancement in technology that will enhance efficiency, this would include security systems, POS systems, etc.
Administers job performance review programs for departments.
Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating and recommending operations policies and procedures to President.
Works feverishly to get compliance to company policy and procedures.
Maintains quality of service by establishing and enforcing SEG policy, protocols and procedures.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in management and a minimum of five years related experience.
Knowledge of management and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management and implementing best practices.
Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects and initiatives.
Familiar with budget development.
Excels at operating in a fast pace environment and ability to multi-task.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a good people manager, open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done.
Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization.
A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
