Essential Functions:
Mixes all different types of monomer per the mixing procedure and recipe in the preparation for the injection process.
Injects monomer into mold assemblies as outlined in the company standard operating procedures.
Inspects and removes trapped air manually from injected assemblies Follows the priority order guidelines.
Maintains tracking accuracy.
Inspects assemblies for injection and film defects.
ADDITIONAL
Responsibilities:
Follows standard operating procedure for loading cure ovens and vats.
Follows standard operating procedure for pre-gel time.
Follows standard operating procedure for cleaning injection equipment.
Maintain accurate production reports as required.
May be required to perform other production tasks relating to the lens manufacturing processes.
Ensures a safe working environment by following all safety requirements while mixing and filling.
Must be able wear required Personal Protective Equipment.
Must be able to pass respirator testing.
JOB
Qualifications:
The employee is required to wear a full face respirator and is required to wear protective gloves, aprons, smocks, boots while performing the duties in this position.
The employee is occasionally exposed to hot and/or cold conditions, solvents and chemical fumes.
Ability to understand and follow both oral and/or written company standard operating procedures.
Ability to produce quality work at standard quantities or above.
Ability to detect obvious defects.
Ability to keep a clean working area.
Ability to follow all safety requirements.
Must be able to work independently.
Good hand-eye coordination.
Attention to detail.
While performing the duties of this job employee is frequently required to sit, stand and use hands or fingers to handle material.
The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch.
While performing the duties of this job employee is occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.
Basic operating knowledge of computer.
