Contract Added - 02/09/24 Job DescriptionTier 1/Tier 2 Unix Support - AdministratorRole will require 1 weekend day every week.
Weekend days are onsite.
Possible Schedules are Tuesday - SaturdayAs a Linux Administrator, you will be the Tier 1 / Tier 2 support of the Business systems in a 24x7 follow-the-sun model.
This will entail alert management, OS troubleshooting, and working to restore service in a robust Enterprise Environment.
Monitoring of Linux/Unix systemsTroubleshooting of systemsAlert ManagementWorking with clients across our Business Units to maintain and restore serviceAutomation of activities through scripting and configuration managementWorking with Hardware teams to maintain the physical server estateDocumentation of processes and procedures for the team.

Experience in Red Hat Linux Administration 3
years of Unix/Linux systems administration experience Strong core OS troubleshooting experience Scripting experience in Shell, Bash, Perl and/or Python Virtualization experience in VMware Networking knowledge/skills Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise-grade server hardware such as HP and Dell rackmount servers Experience using remote management interfaces like Dell iDRAC, HP iLO, VMware vCenter/vSphere Prior experience in the Financial Service Industry is a plus Prior Enterprise experience is a plus Relevant certifications are a strong plus Education:
Bachelor's Degree (U.
