Job OverviewShriners Children's Salt Lake City, part of an international pediatric health care system of hospitals, clinics, ambulatory surgery centers and global outreach, is looking for a strong candidate to lead the philanthropic efforts of their hospitalShriners Children's provides a full range of programs, services and support, caring for children in a welcoming, warm, reassuring environment.
ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with the Hospital Administrator and the Executive Director of Location Philanthropy, the new Senior Director of Philanthropy will implement a comprehensive strategic plan for all fundraising activities from major gifts to annual fund and events for the HospitalThis will include maintaining a robust portfolio with six- and seven-figure donors and prospects in pursuit of impactful fundraising targets, working in collaboration with Shriners Children's headquarter staff, Salt Lake City administration and its Board of Governors to advance the philanthropy office, grow donor engagement, acquisition and stewardship, and support the overall philanthropic success.

QualificationsExperience Required:
7 years of progressively responsible fundraising experience required 5 years of experience working with, and closing, major giving and planned giving programs required A demonstrable track record of fundraising accomplishments is essential, including experience in building a major gifts program into a core component of philanthropic activity.
Working knowledge of all planned giving vehicles required Experience with Charitable Gift Annuities is essential Supervisory/management experience required Bachelor's degree requiredExperience Preferred:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
