30 AM) Training will be day shift then move to nights 6 months training on day shift 8am to 5PM Job Description This position is responsible for operating, maintaining and supporting a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility through scheduling and performing all related activities and associated projects in compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
Essential Areas of Responsibility All areas of responsibility listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position by any incumbents with reasonable accommodation if necessary.
Any non-essential functions are assumed to be included in other related duties or assignments.
Responsible for conducting regular inspections and perform preventative maintenance for facilities, equipment, and systems.
Responsible for maintaining logs and records to support operation and maintenance of critical systems and ensure effective operation and cGMP compliance of all equipment and buildings.
Responsible for operating and maintaining the central utilities plant for the site including high pressure steam, water boilers, centrifugal chillers, pumping systems, large cooling towers, air handling units, air compressors, purified water systems, waste water treatment systems, and other related support equipment.
Responsible for maintaining the buildings and grounds as required keeping them in the best condition possible.
Responsible for responding to service calls during and after regular working hours, troubleshoot and complete in-house repairs throughout the facility and coordinate outside contractor support as necessary while providing support and backup for manufacturing, and other maintenance activities.
Responsible for working during scheduled plant shutdown days.
Qualifications:
Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
Education/Certification/
Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Strongly prefer minimum of 3 years facility maintenance and/or construction experience in a manufacturing environment with preference in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical or food processing industries.
Prefer working knowledge of operation, maintenance and repair of plant utility systems.
Prefer experience and proficiency to secure Boiler Operator (High Pressure) certification and/or electrical licenses; prefer already licensed.
