Summary:
Under general supervision, works independently performing routine Refrigeration and Facilities maintenance and repair throughout the Engine Room and entire Facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Performs operation, repair and adjustment of the following systems and areas:
Ammonia refrigeration, boilers, air compressors, wastewater, building / facility issues.
Monitors system performance and determines when systems are not operating correctly.
Replaces components within the refrigeration, Boiler, & Wastewater systems with safe LOTO procedures and in accordance with PSM program requirements.
Performs basic pump out/evacuate refrigerant as necessary for valve replacement and/or repair.
Performs routine maintenance on various types of equipment in accordance with OSHA Standards.
Tests, maintains, and evaluates equipment performance using instruments such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, pyrometers, and pressure gauges.
Inspects completed work for compliance to blueprints, specifications, and safety standards.
Troubleshoots equipment and recommends corrective action.
Individual should understand key troubleshooting techniques to determine root cause.
Conducts tests of safety equipment to ensure OHSA and operational standards Maintains accurate preventive maintenance records.
Maintains the physical facilities of the plant other than production equipment including but not limited to cleaning and changing filters, replacing light fixtures, unclogging drains, painting, light electrical repair, maintaining the groundsand a variety of other tasks.
Keeps work area and tools well maintained, clean, organized, etc.
and performs housekeeping duties as required.
Shares knowledge, trains, and develops less experienced technicians.
Performs related work and other job assignments as required.

None QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
5 years combined Industrial Refrigeration and/or Industrial Maintenance experience with a minimum of 2 years of employment experience in industrial refrigeration.
Troubleshooting and repairs with differing control systems, Frick, Logix, ALTA/Allen Bradley etc.
Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems preferred.
Must be computer literate.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Able to speak, read and write in English a must.
Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations preferred.
Mathematical and documentation skills necessary.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form preferred.
Fully competent to a high degree in mechanical knowledge and common sense.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position is physically demanding and sometimes you must get into tight places.
You must be able to lift 50 lbs.
on a regular basis, be able to climb stairs and ladders, and work at elevated heights in excess of 35 ft.
May be required to tolerate working environment with inside controlled cold rooms and outside ambient temperatures (including heat, cold and precipitation).
Frequently required to stand; walk; push; pull; reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; and crouch Must be able to use hand and power tools.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception.
Either naturally or with the aid of eyeglasses (use of contacts is prohibited when working with ammonia).
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but sometimes very loud.
Must be able to work in 40 degrees Fahrenheit temperatures on a regular basis and at colder temperatures from time to time.
Must also be able to work in 100 degrees Fahrenheit temperatures or more from time to time.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE:
12-hour shifts.
Rotating schedules2-2-3; Week 1 Monday Tuesday, - Friday, Saturday/ Week 2 Sunday- Wednesday, Thursday On-call may be required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
