This position involves the sustainment support and management of efforts on an Air Force contractThis contract provides support and services for the U-2 Aircraft and associated ground data link equipment including support of fielded equipment world wideThis position manages budgets and schedules as well as provides customer coordination, logistical support, proposal management, management of government property and other elements of the contractEssential
Responsibilities:
o Monitor and report status on cost, schedule and deliveries using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) methodology and tools.
o Lead a cross-functional team including Hardware and Software Engineering, Operations, Purchasing, Finance, Quality and Security to support on time delivery.
o Identify cost reduction opportunities for lean supply chain.
o Work closely with customers to identify opportunities and solutions as well as provide issue resolution across the program lifecycleThis includes product proposal, production and support.
o Lead proposal preparation, including technical description, statement of work and cost/schedule estimation.
o Provide concise reports to management on status, potential issues, risks and solution recommendations.
o Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
o Ability to apply for a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance Required (Basic)
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experienceGraduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experienceIn lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experiencePreferred
Qualifications:
o Experience working as a program managero Experience with Earned value and EVMSo Experience managing internal and external customer relationshipso Experience leading a large cross functional teamo Past engineering experience is helpful.
o Heavy emphasis on very good communication skills, both written and oralo Able to recognize opportunities for business area growtho Familiar with DoD contract performance, including FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations)o Able to travel on occasion as needed Recommended Skills Communication Customer Relationship Management Earned Value Management Engineering Finance Financial Management Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
