Responsible for the bakery department of Snow Park Lodge and supervision of employees in that area.
To follow and train employees in Deer Valley's 3 Circle business model and company policies.
To provide leadership in conjunction with and in the absence of the Executive Chef.
Must be able to give clear, understandable direction and set an example to employees in order to maintain a high standard of quality.
WHAT YOU'LL DO Report directly to Executive Chef Supervise bakery operations in accordance with Deer Valley and kitchen policies in conjunction with Executive Chef Supervise a flow of production recognizing potential problems and suggesting solutions Maintain efficient bakery production with consistent attention to detail, quality and attractive presentation Oversee use of standard recipes for all bakery and pastry items.
Develop dessert menus for restaurants, banquets and special events in conjunction with Executive Chef Make weekly employee schedules according to business and budget, monitoring payroll and sending time changes to Human Resources Control food cost and waste through efficient production and proper rotation of product Help in recruiting efforts for new employees Complete employee evaluations (45 day and end of season) Monitor labor and revenue budget and do monthly re-cap as well as develop budget in conjunction with Executive Chef Know food costs and be able to do a costing of a recipe Coordinate and cooperate with all other departments, including banquets, storerooms, purchasing and stewards Maintain a clean, safe and sanitary work environment, keeping bakery shelves, coolers and ingredient bins clean and in order Use and care for Deer Valley equipment appropriately Follow Deer Valley's 3-Circle Model Be ready to work in all stations of the kitchen and to be part of the food and beverage team Work with Silver Lake/Snow Park Pastry Chef and Executive Chef in coordination and in scheduling of summer operations Maintain a positive attitude in the workplace and with all employees and guests QUALIFICATIONS Must have 3 to 5 years' experience baking and must have some experience supervising Must be capable of producing accurate, consistent and excellent quality products efficiently Must have good communication skills and work well with others Must be capable of working in every station in the bakery Must be able to make decisions in line with Deer Valley procedures and policies when needed Must be able to execute all banquet menu items Must be able to present a courteous attitude to guests, work well with other employees and follow directions Must be able to work a variety of shifts including early morning and evening shifts, at all four lodges Must have a valid driver's license Must provide work shoes, French knife and other knives, spatulas and pastry tools as needed.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
