Maintenance Instructor (Meadowbrook)
Description Job Summary Coaches, counsels, and assists technicians as assigned by Supervisors.
Works with Supervisors to assure work assignments are relevant to current open training modules.
Verifies and signs off competency on job performance tasks according to learning plan.
Provides constructive/actionable feedback to mechanics, training staff, and/or supervisors.
Facilitates/instructs small group or individual (re)training/re-certifications, and other training as assigned.
Provides mentor support for Interns (where division internships are implemented).
Shows willingness to demonstrate, coach, and assist the intern to enhance his or her learning experience.
Shows willingness to share skills, knowledge, and expertise.
Exemplifies a model UTA representative in behavior, attitude, and safety.
Mentors technicians/mechanics to achieve a high professional standard and be a knowledgeable resource.
Assists training department to develop and improve training curriculum, improve training materials and methods, and help instruct formal training classes.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience:
Currently classified as a Journeyist, Class A Technician or Mechanic, or Qualified Track Inspector Obtain a recommendation from both Supervisor and Manager Meet current Training Standards Review Lead and/or mentor experience preferred Score at least 70% during panel and presentation interviews ABILITY TO:
Communicate with managers, supervisors, and others Utilize technology resources such as PowerPoint, Outlook, and LearnerWeb LMS Complete Train-the-Trainer training within 90 days from selection Pass a knowledge test at 85%This job requires regular and predictable attendance.
- OR -An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
UTA reserves the right to determine the equivalencies of education and experience.
Pay Rate:
Applicants' current rate of pay plus an additional $2.
