The Research Data Scientist develops methods and tools for gathering, storing, manipulating, analyzing, and displaying research and clinical data.
The position supports design and implementation of tools and process analyses from a variety of research and clinical testing methods with the goal to advance the state-of-the-art in clinical diagnosis, treatment, data analysis, and reporting.
This position will address the critical needs of research and clinical organizations seeking scalability and flexibility for a variety of applications in the field of laboratory medicine.

Essential Functions:
Creates, refines and validates software, data analysis processes, statistical, and data visualization tools.
Implements and maintains computational tools for data mining and data integration.
Develops enhanced data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems and reporting clinical results.
Develops new tools to aid in the analysis of assay quality metrics, interpretation, and reporting.
Develops novel methods/algorithms, and extends, adapts and improves existing methods as needed.
Develops analysis approaches in support of clinical applications.
Works effectively with other scientists, programmers, engineers, and researchers to implement novel or adapt existing approaches to data analysis and reporting.
Supports transition of developed software and analysis into clinical practice.
Provides consultative support to clinical and research staff, pathology residents, Medical Directors and others as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.

Stooping:
Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
Reaching:
Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Mobility:
The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Communicate:
Frequently and effectively communicate with others.
PPE:
Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.

Sedentary Work:
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
