Summary:
Sensapure Flavors is a fast-paced, innovative, Salt Lake City-based flavor house with a dedicated team of industry veterans, exceptional flavor chemists, and product development/applications experts.
We create and provide flavor systems for food and nutrition companies across the globe.
The Supply Chain Specialist is primarily responsible for the purchasing of raw materials, assisting in processing sales orders, and helping coordinate logistics for customer needs.
Main Job Functions:
1.
Source new chemicals at best prices to assure a low cost of goods sold.
2.
Work with R&D to ensure the raw material meets specifications.
3.
Enter work orders to fulfill orders and communicate status of orders with sales.
4.
Coordinate production activities / communication with in-house and secondary manufacturing as needed to ensure on time delivery and customer satisfaction.
5.
Help coordinate raw material scheduling for master manufacturing schedule.
Other duties and functions may be assigned.
Education/Work
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field required.
1-2 years' work experience in related field preferred.
Required competencies:
Designs workflows and procedures.
Ability to collect and research data information.
Skillfully identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and gather and analyze information.
Must work well in group problem solving situations and exhibit sound judgment.
Ability to prioritize and use time effectively while managing competing demands.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related manufacturing software.
Contribute to building a positive team spirit and displays a high amount of professionalism.
Manages difficult or emotional situations.
Responds promptly to partner / customer / employee needs.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret documents.
Ability to write routine correspondence, instructions, and procedures.
Demonstrates ability to self-manage.

Takes responsibilities for own actions, takes initiatives, meets productivity standards, and generates suggestions for improving work.
Compensation:
A competitive and generous compensation package will be commensurate with experience.
Work Environment:
This position works in an office environment.
Seldom exposure to fumes, dust or other airborne particles and exposure to allergens such as milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat and soybeans.
Physical Requirements:
The position is almost constantly sitting, talking, hearing/listening and standing.
Seldom standing, walking, bending/stooping, climbing stairs/ladders and lifting up to 20 lbs.
