Systems Administrator II
Installs and maintains computing resources related to servers and system software.
Develops and maintains server configurations operation and procedure documentation.
Resolves hardware and software problems.
Communicate upgrades backup and security procedures server changes project status etc.
to all appropriate staff in a timely manner.
Provides training to users on server systems and software.
Acts as resource to other staff or clients on new software applications hardware server technologies and industry trends.
Sets up and maintains basic server operations including assembly of server hardware and software and implementation of required network services.
Performs installations upgrades and configurations involving all aspects of Systems Administration and resolves hardware and software related system problems.
Provides users with system technical support and responds to needs and questions of users concerning their access of computing resources.
Specialized Systems Management Responsible as primary or alternate one or more of the following systemsSQL Desktop and Server Management Systems Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manger MECM System Center Virtual Machine Manager SCVMM Email Systems Exchange OnlineSPAMfilters Data Protection VMwareHyperV SharePoint Online Microsoft Identity Management MIM Clustering and Loadbalancing technologies.
Documents processes and common procedures.
Project Management Researches develops and coordinates implementation of server systems.
Works with other departments to translate their needs into business solutions.
Assists in development of specifications for new facilities and coordinates purchase and installation of new equipment through authorized vendors.
Develops or establishes relationships with service providers.
Maintains current skill set through professional initiative on the job opportunities and available formal training.
Participates in afterhours and oncall support rotation.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge Skills Abilities Minimum Qualifications Associates degree in related field.
Two years related fulltime experience.
Trade off in experienceeducation requirement.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree in related field.
Experience in a higher education environment.
MCPMCSAMCSECCNACCNPor similar industryrecognized system administration certifications.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
