Senior Software Engineer, Globalization

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAs an Internationalization Engineer/Architect, you will prioritize and drive initiatives from inception through execution.
You'll be uniquely positioned to have your customers be all product engineers at Square and any partners who rely on you and your team's internationalization libraries, tools, and utilities to bring Square products to the globe.
You will have deep internationalization technical knowledge and superb collaboration skills to increase the adoption of the recommended solutions and best practices.
You will:
Be a software architect, leading the internationalization and localization efforts of the development teamPartner with the product teams (engineers, product managers, designers, UX creators) to help design and implement internationalization changes across all Square products that benefit the downstream localization process and the global user experience.
Educate engineers and partners on internationalization best practices.
Develop internationalization (i18n) infrastructure for online payment and point-of-sale systemsMake decisions on the best open source and develop internationalization libraries and keep them up to date with the latest global standards.
Use CLDR and Unicode to create language-specific resources for multiple regionsCreate content and code localization-readiness scanning and linting tools for the CI/CD development infrastructure.
Recommend or create multi-regional solutions for the payments and point-of-sale industry.
Ensure that software is performant, scalable, and maintainableSDL2017 Recommended Skills Infrastructure Management Internationalization Open Source Technology Requirement Prioritization User Experience (Ux) Continuous Integration Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
