A substantial portion of the Associate Attorney's time will be dedicated to case review.
The Associate Attorney is the gatekeeper of the work coming out of the legal department and is responsible for the quality of the work being passed to the founding Attorney.
During case review, you will need to demonstrate your keen attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to connect various pieces of information.
The position requires leadership, cross-functional teamwork, and exemplary dedication towards the Vergara Miller Law Firm's mission of changing people's lives' Skills ? 2-3 years experience in Immigration Law ? Leadership ? Google Platform (G-Drive, G-Chat, G-docs, G-meet) ? Zoom ? IT (Information Technology) /Digital skills / iMac proficient ? Drop Box ? MyCase ? AirTable a plus but not necessary ? Fluent in communicating, reporting and following up on case management ? Excellent organizational skills Role ? Feedback will never be given with an intent to hurt and it will never be taken as if somebody gave it even if they did give it to be hurt Task and Responsibilities Review of Consultation notes, Analyze and confirm case legal strategy Complete a detailed Final Case review of client's petitions Read notes and other information in the case management system Correct, edit and audit data on packets Compare data on packets withexisting documents Share Areas of Opportunities w/ team via the Opportunity for Review process Manage IR dashboard Manager IR cases that have been sent to Revision Review (RR) Get these cases out of RR ASAP and into Final Review (FR) Have high level communication with the legal team to resolve legal questions Attend USCIS interviews and represent clients in removal proceedings in all states Prepare legal documents including briefs, motions, pleadings, appeals Phone /In-person meetings with clients to answer client questions Emergency motions, Analyze information Innovate, develop and implement process improvement initiatives Job Type:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
