Job Description:
We are currently seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer.
Successful candidates will be members of a highly motivated, multi-disciplined, cross-functional design engineering team.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
oElectromechanical packaging, design, analysis, and test oModification of existing and/or creation of new designs including racks, shelters, enclosures, airborne and rack-mount chassis, and circuit card assemblies (CCAs) oEnsure new designs progress according to technical objectives, within budgetary and schedule constraints oAssist in specification creation, the proposal process, and presentations to customers or management oWorking knowledge and experience with FEA theory, (ANSYS experience preferred).
Experience with CFD simulation of subsonic external flow to determine loads, drag, and stability is a plus.
oExposure to/experience with environmental testing, ie.
shock, vibration, temperature/altitude, environmental stress screening (ESS).
oProficient with electronics cooling methods and strong background in heat transfer (conduction, convection, radiation) applied to electronics packaging and reliability oDesign experience with Open Standards:
VITA, VME, PMC and mixed signal board design (RF and Digital) is preferred Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
