30 PM (Monday - Thursday, occasional Fridays) Position Description We are expanding our team and seeking a dedicated Receiving/Quality Technician to join our Receiving department at SilencerCo in West Valley City, UT.
As a Receiving/Quality Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our incoming materials, parts, and components.
Job Responsibilities Perform thorough inspections on all incoming materials, parts, and components to verify compliance with our specified requirements and quality standards.
This includes meticulously checking for any damage, defects, or discrepancies, and comparing received items against purchase orders or specifications.
Maintain meticulous and accurate records of received materials, including inspection results, quantities, serial numbers, and other relevant information.
Enter data into our computer systems or databases and generate comprehensive reports as necessary.
Safely handle and organize incoming materials, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and identification.
Collaborate with our warehouse and inventory personnel to ensure efficient and accurate inventory management practices Identify and promptly report any non-conforming materials or discrepancies discovered during the receiving inspection process.
Initiate appropriate communication with suppliers or internal stakeholders to resolve issues and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Foster effective collaboration with procurement, production, and other departments to facilitate the timely and accurate receipt of materials.
Maintain open lines of communication with suppliers to address shipment discrepancies, quality concerns, or other related matters.
Take responsibility for the maintenance and calibration of measuring instruments and equipment used during the receiving inspection process.
Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure proper calibration schedules are followed.
Actively identify opportunities for process improvement within the receiving inspection workflow.
Propose and implement changes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall quality in the receiving process.
Adhere to all relevant quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements during the receiving inspection process.
Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and changes in regulations pertaining to receiving inspection.
Job Qualifications Possess a basic understanding of mathematics, including knowledge of the imperial system/decimal inch, arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and other applications.
Experience in quality analysis, conducting tests and inspections to evaluate the quality and performance of products, services, or processes.
Demonstrate critical thinking skills, using logic and reasoning to suggest alternative solutions to problems.
Apply these skills both internally and externally, utilizing data, research, and information to arrive at sound conclusions.
Proficient in basic computer skills, including experience with Excel, Word, Solidworks, PowerPoint, and the Google Suite.
Familiarity with Mac and Windows computers is preferred as SilencerCo operates using both platforms.
Detail-oriented with exceptional attention to detail, especially during the inspection process.
Knowledge of the firearms industry and familiarity with SilencerCo products is a plus.

Minimum of 3 years work experience.
