Security Officers are responsible for performing guard and patrol duties in assigned areas to protect life and property against theft, misappropriation, fire, flood or similar disaster; doing security checks and searches on students and vehicles entering the center to ensure unauthorized contraband is not brought on center (much like TSA at the airport); responding to disturbances and other emergencies; and/or assisting in investigations and dispatch duties.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred one year related experience OR completion of a security training program OR one year of verified volunteer experience OR one year customer service experience.
Also requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer proficiency, and a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
