Research Associate

Our work is a mix of public service and professional investing.
The URS Investment teams manage equity creditfixed income absolute return real assets and private equity globally across both public and private markets.
The Investments Team is strongly rooted in collaboration and every individual is an integral part of the team.
The team is responsible for implementing the investment program of the URS Defined Benefit plan with longterm sustainability of the portfolio in mind.
The team manages investments internally and partners with external investment firms to manage a globally diversified portfolio.
The teams efforts have a strong emphasis on Absolute Return Real Assets and Private Equity investments.
Defined Benefit assets are approximately billion.
The team also supports the billion Defined Contribution program.
Each member of the investments team is expected to be dedicated to the mission of the organization and safeguarding the future of Utahs public employees retirement benefits.
Bachelors Degree in investment management business management accounting finance financial management economics mathematics statistics physics chemistry law humanities or related field.
Must have the ability to demonstrate competence with basic investments and portfolio management concepts either through applicable work experience or education or an equivalent combination or education and experience is required.
For Real Estate positions Direct property underwriting and due diligence is preferred.
For Real Estate positions Progress toward Member of Appraisal Institute MAI Counselors of Real Estate CRE andor Certified Commercial Investment Member CCIM designations arepreferred.
Working knowledge of Bloomberg Microsoft Access Visual Basic and SQL is preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
